I am a retired
nurse and mother of two adult children who still live in
Australia. Gary and I have been married for almost 20 years and
we met online about 21 years ago. We live in upstate New York
and we moved here in 2012 so we could be of help to Gary’s mom,
who then lived with us and has just recently passed (Jan 20th
2021). We love where we live and keep busy doing indoor
improvements in the winter (love the snow by the way!) and lots
of gardening in the summer in between taking visiting friends
from other countries who stay with us, to see the local sights.
We are currently figuring out how we will spend the next few
years – here or in Australia. We miss the kids but we also love
it here – a dilemma!! I am so glad we found 40-up – a delightful
bunch of people to chat to and get to know.
